Central university of Tamilnadu Recruitment 2011

The Central University of Tamil Nadu, an Institution established by an Act of Parliament, invites applications for the following Non-Teaching posts: 1) Finance Officer 2) Deputy Registrar 3) Assistant  Registrar 4) Hindi Officer 5) Section Officer 6) Assistant 7) Upper Division Clerk (UDC) 8) Lower  Division Clerk (LDC) 9) Private Secretary to VC / Registrar 10) Personal Assistant 11) Technical Assistant   12)  Lab  Assistant  13)  Assistant  Librarian  14)  Junior  Professional Assistant 15) Library Attendant 16) Lab  Attendant.                            Those who had applied for any of  these positions in response to our earlier advertisement in the year 2009 need not apply again, but they can update their bio-data.

Application Fee:-

1.    Rs. 300/-for Group A
2.    Rs. 200/-for Group B
3.    Rs. 100/-for Group C

Payable by way of Demand Draft only (drawn on any Nationalized Bank) in favour of   CUTN, Thiruvarur.

2. SC/ST/PH Candidates are exempt from payment of fees.

General Information

1.  Separate application should be submitted foeach post.
2.  University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
3.  Application incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
4.  Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on last date of submission of application.
Clear quality Xerox copies of all important certificates must be attached with the application.
5. Candidates already in service should submit their application through proper channel failing
which the application is liable to be rejected.
6.  Outstation candidates belonging to SC/ST categories called for interview will be paid
contribution equivalent to return single second class railway fare towards journey expenses on production of ticket numbers/proof.
7.  The Number of vacancies indicated in the Employment Notification and this leaflet is tentative. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, at the time of selection.

8.    Reservation for SC/STs, OBC and PH for all posts exists as per the guidelines of the UGC / GOI. Candidates applying for the reserved posts should clearly state as to which category they belong. They must also enclose attested Photostat copy of Caste Certificate / Medical Certificate from the concerned competent authorities. The form of caste certificate to be produced by other backward class candidates must be in the  format as prescribed by the Govt. of India. Please visit  www.ncbc.nic.in for details. Otherwise, the application will be summarily rejected without further consideration.

9.    The  prescribed  qualifications  and  experience  are  minimum  and  the  mere  fact  that  a  candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview and the decision of the screening committee is final in this regard.

10.   The statutory provision for relaxation of age, experience etc. prescribed in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories will be made applicable to them.

11.   Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate.

12.    Selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s previous records and their performances in the interview. The University may utilize examination / seminar / presentation as a method of selection.

13.     University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.

14.       The University reserves the right to invite suitable candidates for interview.

15.        New pension scheme in accordance with the O.M.No.1(13) EV/2001, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, dated 15.03.2004, will be applicable with subsequent amendments made or will be made from time to time.

16.       In case of any disputes/suites or legal proceedings against the University, the Jurisdiction shall be restricted to the Courts of Thiruvarur.


17.       Candidates who have already applied in response to our earlier advertisement in the year 2009 need not apply again but they can update their bio - data.

Central University of Tamil Nadu web site.
2.   Prescribed application form filled in, complete in all respect, should reach the Registrar, Central  University  of  Tamil  Nadu,  Thanjavur  Road,  Thiruvarur,  superscribing  the  post applied for, on the cover.
3.   Last date for receiving completed Application form is 28.01.2011.
