DREDGING CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED (A Government of India Undertaking) VISAKHAPATNAM- Recruitment of Various Posts

Dredging Corporation  of  India  Limited,  the  largest  Public  Sector  Dredging  and Maritime Development Company in India with a status of a “Mini-Ratna” Category-I, a successful Domestic and global player in the field of Dredging, requires dynamic, result oriented professionals with proven track record for the following posts.


1. GENERAL MANAGER (OPS.)- 1 Post (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs.43200-66000/-                                                  Age: Below 50 years Qualification: Certificate of Competency as Master (FG) or Dredge Master Gr.I Certificate of competency or Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.

Experience:  At least 20 years experience (out of which minimum 8 years in a senior managerial capacity including 3 years minimum length of service in the immediate lower scale of General Manager) in Planning and Development, Ship Repairs/ Maintenance, Dredging contracts, etc.  Knowledge of modern concepts in Planning & control techniques, Marine Law and Practices, Classification, Port Rules and regulations       and various Management  techniques including Operations Research, CPM, etc., will be required.

2. GENERAL MANAGER (TECHNICAL)- 1 post (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs.43200-66000/-                                                     Age: Below 50 years Qualification: I Class MOT (Motor) Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer (OR) Dredge  Engineer  Gr.I  Certificate/                                                  Endorsement  (OR)  Graduate  in  Mechanical Engineering from recognized University.

Experience: Atleast 20 years experience (out of which minimum 8 years in a senior managerial capacity including 3 years minimum length of service in the immediate lower  scale  of            General  Manager)  in  Planning  and  Development/  Ship  Repairs/ Maintenance, Dredging Contacts, etc.  Knowledge of modern concepts in Planning & control techniques in Marine Law and Practices, classification, Port Rules and Regulations and various Management techniques including Operations Research, CPM, etc., will be required.


3. GENERAL MANAGER (IT) – 1 Post (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs.43200-66000/-                                                  Age: 40-50 years Qualification:  Engineering Graduate or Graduate with MBA Systems/ MCA Engineer with MBA Systems is preferred.

Experience:   Minimum   15    years    experience    in   Networking   and   Applications Development                           and   ERP        implementation.  Knowledge   in   Networking,   Internet Technologies, ERP is essential.

4. COMPANY SECRETARY (GM LEVEL) – 1 (SC)
Scale of Pay: Rs.43200-66000/-                                                  Age: 40-50 years Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with Degree in Law and Member ICSI. Graduate in Commerce is preferred
Experience:
Minimum 15 years experience out of which 5 years work experience in the listed Company in the Company Secretariat Department.  Experience in handling Company Secretariat matters of a large company (Rs.300 Crore plus turn over) is preferred. Knowledge in Corporate Laws, Labour Laws, Tax Laws, Marine Insurance Act, Merchant Shipping Act and Customs act would be preferred.

5. DY.GENERAL MANAGER(HR) – 1 (OBC)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 32900-58000/-                                     Age: Below 45 years

Qualification: I or II Class Degree from a recognised University and PG Degree/ Diploma in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations/ Social Work.

Experience: 12 years experience in a responsible capacity dealing with Personnel/ Administrative  matters  of  a  large  Government  Undertaking/  Establishment,  out  of which 5 years should be in a middle managerial position. Knowledge about General Administration,   Personnel      Management                              and               Industrial          Relations             and             matters pertaining to administration of Floating Personnel, is preferred.

6. DY.GEN.MANAGER (TECHNICAL) - 4 Posts ( 2 UR+  1OBC+1 ST)
Scale of Pay: Rs.32900-58000          AGE: Below 45 Years Qualifications:                                  1st  Class MOT (Motor) Certificate of Competency or I or II Class Mech.Engg or Dredger Engineer Gr.I Certificate of competency. Preference will be given to Marine Engineer with MOT Ist Class..

Experience:  Must possess 3 years working experience as Chief Engineer Officer on- board  a  Foreign  Going  Vessel  and  a  Modern  Dredger.                     In  case  of  Mechanical Engineers, 12 years working experience as Engineer Superintendent in any reputed Shipping Company or recognized Marine Work-shop of repute or Shipyard in India or Abroad and/ or experience in execution of medium-scale Project.


7. DY.GENERAL MANAGER (DRY DOCK REPAIRS) -    1 Post (UR)
Scale of Pay: Rs.32900-58000     AGE: Below 45 Years
Qualifications:  MEO CLASS 1
Experience:
Minimum  3  years  experience  as  Chief  Engineer  in  any  Shipping  or  Dredging Company; or  Minimum 3 years as Superintendent in Shipping or Dredging Company or worked in Ports/ Shipyards or Minimum 3 years experience, which includes experience as Chief Engineer on board Merchant Ships or Dredgers and experience ashore as Dredging Superintendent or in Shipyard or in Ports.

8. DY.GENERAL MANAGER (OPS/ PROJ.) 02 (1 SC+ 1  UR)
Scale of Pay: 32900-58000/-  AGE: Below 45 Years:

Qualification: Master (FG) or 1st  Class Marine Engineer or I/II Class Graduate in Civil/ Mech.Engg. or equivalent from a recognized University or Dredge Master Gr.I Certificate of Competency.

Experience:3 years post qualification experience in case of Master Mariner/ Marine Engineer and 12 years of experience in case of Civil/ Mechanical Engineering, preferably in dredging  operations.  Must be conversant  with  Shipping Procedures, Execution of Medium size Projects, etc.

9. MANAGER (HR) - 2 POSTS (1 SC + 1  UR )
SCALE OF PAY: RS.29100-54500     AGE: Below 40 years 
QUALIFICATIONS:  I or II Class Graduate of a recognized University and Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations/ Social Welfare.

EXPERIENCE:  Over 10 years experience in Government Establishment/ Undertaking, dealing with Per.& Admn. Matters, out of which 3 years should be in a responsible position.  The incumbent should be fully conversant with all aspects of General Office Administration, Personnel Management and Public Relations.  Knowledge of matters relating to Floating Officers, Petty Officers and Crew as per Maritime Agreements and M.S.Act will be an additional qualification.

10. MANAGER (FINANCE) – 3 Posts (1 SC + 1 OBC + 1 UR)
SCALE OF PAY: RS.29100-54500    AGE: Below 40 years
QUALIFICATIONS:
I or II Class Graduate, preferably in Commerce of a    recognized University.Must be a qualified CA or Cost & Works Accountant.

Experience:  Should have  10  years  service  in  the  Fin.&  Accts. Department  of  a Commercial or Industrial concern of repute, out of which 3 years should be in a responsible position. Must be well conversant in financial, taxation, compilation of final accounts, budgetary control of a large commercial Organisation.  Experience in dealing with works contract is an additional qualification.
11. MANAGER (SB)            - 1 POST (UR)
SCALE OF PAY:     RS.29100-54500                                 AGE: Below 40 years QUALIFICATIONS:  I or II Class Engineering Graduate in Naval                        Architecture from a recognized University in India/ Abroad.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years experience, out of which 3 years should be in a responsible                        position in a Design Office of Construction Yard of a Shipyard/ Ship Repair Workshop of repute.  Preference will be given to the candidates having Marine background in addition to the above.

12.MANAGER (TECH.) – 1POST  (1 UR)
SCALE OF PAY: RS.29100-54500                                         AGE: Below 40 years

QUALIFICATIONS: I or II Class Mech.Engg. Graduate from a recognized University, OR I or II Class MOT Certificate (Motor) of Competency or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 10 years working experience in repairs & maintenance of modern machinery / equipment with Shipyard/ Ship Repair firms of repute in case of Engg. Graduates and 2 years experience as CEO on dredgers/ Merchant Navy Ships or 5 years experience as 2nd E/O on dredgers/ Merchant Navy in case of MOT Certificate holders.

13.MANAGER (MATERIALS) – 1 POST (UR)
SCALE OF PAY: RS.29100-54500                                         AGE: Below 40 years

QUALIFICATIONS:     Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:   10   years    experience   in   a    responsible   position   dealing   with procurement and supply of Marine Stores and Spare parts  indigenously from abroad in a large Ship Building Industry/ other Undertakings.

14. DY.MANAGER (MATERIALS) 2 POSTS (1 SC + 1 UR)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 20600-46500                    Age: BELOW 35 YRS.

QUALIFICATIONS:
(a)   Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR
(b)  I Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:
Should have 8 years of  experience,  out of  which 3  years should  be in first line executive cadre. Must be well conversant in dealing with procurement, supply of marine stores and spare parts indigenously and from abroad in a large Ship Building Industry/ other Undertaking.

15. DY.MANAGER (FINANCE)  2 POSTS (UR)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 20600-46500                                 Age: BELOW 35 YRS.


QUALIFICATIONS: I or II Class Graduate preferably in Commerce of a recognised University.  Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant OR Cost & Works Accountant OR SAS Accountant.

EXPERIENCE:  Should have 8 years of service in the Fin.& Accounts Department of a Commercial or Industrial concern of repute out of which 3 years should be in the first line Executive cadre. Must have knowledge of  commercial accountancy, taxation, stores and contract matters and Internal audit, etc.

16. Sr. Tech (Diving)-2 (UR) Scale Of Pay Rs: 6000-11560 (Pre-revised) Age: Below 35 years

Qulaifications: Should have passed Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate
EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 5 years experience in different types of Shallow and Deep Diving Jobs like Port Operations, Ships Clearance, Under Water Clearing, Drilling, Blasting, Salvage, etc.  Preference will be given to the persons having experience in Deep Sea Diving.

17. SURVEYOR :    4 POSTS 1 ST + 3UR)
SCALE OF PAY: RS.6000-11560 (PRE-REVISED)                AGE: BELOW 35 YRS

Qualifications: Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering OR its equivalent OR Survey Recorder (I/II) of Indian Navy.

Experience:    3 years in the case of Degree holders and 5 years in the case of Diploma holders and SR-I/ SR-II of Indian Navy in handling and maintaining all types of Survey Instruments/ Equipments. Must be capable of conducting all types of Surveys, independently.

Relaxation in age limit will be considered for SCs/ STs/OBCs, etc., as per the existing Government guidelines.
