  1. Eligibility :
    1. Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India.
    2. Educational qualification:
      Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Telecommunication Computer,IT, Bio-technology Engineering with five year experience
      OR
      Degree in Science with Maths or Physics OR Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Telecommunication etc. Computer, IT Engineering with seven year experience
  2. Age: Not below 18 years and not above 27 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India (and not the closing date prescribed for Far Flung Area).
    Relaxation:
SC/ST    :    By 5 years.
. Ex-Serviceman    :    By 3 years in addition to usual period of service in the defence forces subject to maximum age of 50 years. Govt. /Employees of KVIC 35 years.
  1. Selection Procedure:
    1. Selection will be on the basis of performance in personal interview.
    2. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
    3. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible for the KVIC to interview all the candidates, the KVIC at their discretion may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit by any one or more of the following method:
      1. On the basis of their qualifications higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement, or
      2. On the basis of the experience in the relevant field. or
      3. By holding a screening test.
      The candidate should therefore, mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field over and above the minimum qualifications and should attach attested /self certified copies of the certificate in support thereof.     
  2. Appointment: The candidates selected will be posted anywhere in India.
  3. How to apply: Applications format should be typed neatly in Hindi or English. Application and copies of the required certificates must be sent by ordinary post only in a cover super scribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER." The application should be addressed to DIRECTOR (REBT), KHADI AND VILLAGE INDUSTRIES COMMISSION, 3, IRLA ROAD, VILE PARLE (WEST), MUMBAI-400 056.
  4. GENERAL:
  5. Candidates already employed in Government / Public Sector Undertakings shall be required to produce a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer, at the time of the interview.
  6. The candidates belonging to SC / ST categories should attach certified copy of the SC / ST caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India, failing which, his / her application is liable to be rejected. Mere "Declaration on Oath" is not accepted. The Caste mentioned in the Certificate should tally letter by letter to that of the Caste as appearing in the Central Government List / Notification. The certificate inter alia must specify that the candidates does not belong to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for other backward classes in Civil post and services under Govt. of India. APPLICATIONS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY THE ABOVE CERTIFICATES ARE LIABLE TO BE REJECTED.
  7. The candidates should not send ORIGINALS / COPIES of any other certificates / testimonials.
  8. Candidates are required to paste one recent passport size photograph in the space provided for in the application format and sign it across. They are advised to retain two copies of the same photograph for use at the time of written / interview. Failure to produce the same photograph at that time will lead to disqualification of the candidates.
  9. KVIC shall not be responsible for an application being rejected which is based on wrong information provided and / or in any advertisement issued by an unauthorized person / institution.
  10. If called Candidates have to appear for the written test/Skill Test/Interview at their own cost. However, unemployed SC/ST candidates who are called for interview will be reimbursed II Class Rail / Bus fare, as per the rules.
  11. Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the service regulations under KVIC.
  12. The selected candidates will be eligible under New Pension Scheme introduced by the Government of India w.e.f. 01.01.2004.
  13. Before applying for the post, candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility norms in all respects as mentioned in this advertisement, as on the dates specified. The KVIC shall be free to reject any candidature at any stage of the recruitment process, if he / she is found to be ineligible for the post for which he / she has applied.
  14. The decision of the KVIC in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidates, conduct of examinations, skill test, interview, selection and appointment of candidates etc. would be final and binding on the candidates. No correspondence would be entertained by the KVIC in this behalf.
  15. In case any candidate desires to institute any legal proceedings against the KVIC in respect of anything done or proposed to be done by the KVIC in relation to him or her, such legal proceedings shall be instituted only in the courts in Mumbai and not in other Courts.
  16. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  17. The candidate should send only one application in an envelope.
  18. Once an application is submitted by the candidate under particular category, it cannot be changed subsequently.
  19. Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit their applications well in time before the last date to avoid possible delay in postal transit. Applications received after the last date shall be rejected. The KVIC takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in Postal transit of any application or communication.
  20. In addition to the number of posts mentioned, a panel on the basis of merit list will be prepared as recommended by the DSSCs for filling up of vacancies occurring within one year under DR quota subject to vacancy being live.
    7. LAST DATE: APPLICATION SHOULD REACH THE GIVEN ADDRESS within 30 days(28-01-2011) from the publication of this advertisement (For candidates staying in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshwadeep & Minicoy, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J & K State, Lahul and Spiti Districts., Pangi subdivision of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, this will be 45 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.)
